The wonderful Cotswold wedding of Amber and Paddy at Kingscote Barn, Near Tetbury

Amber’s bridal party preparations began at home, surrounded by her family.  The atmosphere was bubbly, as Amber and her sister (who was bridesmaid) had their hair and makeup done. A little later very excited flower girls arrived, full of anticipation for the big day.  At Kingscote Barn the pre ceremony drinks were already flowing for the groom.

The sky was clear blue for an outdoor ceremony in the sunshine, with the vows being taken under the rustic arches of Kingscote’s pagoda.  Amber’s brother had the privilege of giving her away.

There was ample opportunity for outdoor photographs, both groups and portraits of the happy couple. Kingscote has the added advantage of having the rolling Cotswold countryside as a backdrop.  It was also the groom’s birthday, so once the celebrations had moved inside for the wedding breakfast, he of course received a cake, or two to be precise – one to eat and one to wear.

After dinner, the guests took their chances at the casino tables where the fun was obviously more important than the winning.  The cutting of the cake preceded the first dance, which led seamlessly into an evening of dancing and celebrations.
