“Aww Phil these are gorgeous” Jenny & Dom.
The unique Matara Centre near Tetbury was bathed in sunshine for the June wedding of Jenny & Dom. Wedding days like Jenny & Dom’s do not just happen. There was so much planning involved to bring everything together as it did on their big day. The day started early for the girls. The bridal party got ready together in the lovely bridal suite at the large house at Matara. The groomsmen kept Dom very calm, floating around the house and courtyard. They breakfasted (more brunch than breakfast really) on a very fine looking bottle of 10year old Glenmorangie. Once the guys were ready they joined the other guests on two red London buses to whisk them all off to St James’ Church in Dursley. They were closely followed by Jenny and the bridal party in their horse and carriage.
The Church ceremony was a delight to capture. All the guests were great as they kept their ‘phones in their pockets (as requested by the happy couple) and watched the ceremony through tear filled eyes. With the rings exchanged, the register signed and wedding certificate safely in place it was back to Matara for the celebrations. Back at The Matara Centre, myself Jenny & Dom strolled the grounds and got some lovely bride and groom portraits. Then back to guests to capture the family formal group pictures. Then it was time for the lucky guests to taste the culinary delights provided by the expert chefs at the Matara Centre.
Great speeches followed the wedding breakfast. There was a small break in proceedings for guests to let their food go down before Jenny & Dom took to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife. This was followed by an extremely energetic but very well organised ceilidh. If that wasn’t enough. When darkness fell everybody made there way outside for an amazing fireworks display. This was followed by sparklers, then a hog roast (which was very nice!!!). Then in for more dancing, what a day!
