Janet & Tony - Elmore Court

Elmore Court Wedding Photography

I love being recommended by happy couples to photograph their friends wedding. The request is made all the more pleasant when the four words Elmore Court Photography and wedding are in the same sentence. This time it was for Janet & Tony’s wedding at Elmore Court in Gloucestershire. I first met Janet & Tony when they were guests at their friends wedding that I was photographing. So when they later saw their friends’ completed wedding album I was booked!

Janet & Tony’s plan was to marry at Elmore Court. Elmore Court is a grade II listed mansion nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds, a couple of miles from Gloucester. Elmore Court caters for all your wedding needs. From the bridal preparations through to the party late into the night. Their big day,  was the last Saturday in September. I arrived at Elmore Court early in the day to a refreshing sight. The sun was shining, with hardly a cloud in the sky and no wind whatsoever. This promised to be an amazing day for all involved.

I captured the still life pictures of the venue and the very well presented grounds and then I made my way up to meet with Janet and her bridal party. They were in one of the many suites Elmore Court offers to their couples. Janet chose a wedding dress from Laura May Bridal Boutique in Cardiff and this was complemented by a pair of very classy Jimmy Choo’s.

 Wedding Ceremony

Janet’s son escorted her down the aisle to meet her future husband.

They completed their declarations and vows exchanged rings and signed the register. The guests showered Janet and Tony with confetti as they walked down the aisle. They left the ceremony room, and walked into the sunshine.  Guests enjoyed drinks & canapés on the lawns.  Darren Campbell  entertained all with mind boggling magic. Darren really is a treat to watch. Their Dalmatian dog later joined Janet and Tony to complete the family.

The wedding breakfast took place in the wonderfully appointed Gillyflower. The Gillyflower is part of Elmore Court and is located to the rear of the main mansion house. It was a now or never moment after the wedding breakfast because the sun was dropping very quickly. I mentioned this to the happy couple and we popped outside to capture some sunset pictures.

Tony and the best man delivered great speeches. As we moved into the evening it was time for the cutting of their canine themed wedding cake. Cake cut and distributed the live band took over for the night. A smoochy first dance followed and then party time!!
