Coombe Lodge in Blagdon is an amazing location for a wedding – I’d recommend it to just about anyone. There’s a lot on offer here. If you’re looking for a venue in the area, I would implore you to give this a proper look.

However, what makes Coombe Lodge such a good choice? If you were going to pick out a venue for your wedding, why would it be this one? Well, let’s take a look at what you need to know.

What’s on Offer?

Coombe Lodge is an exclusive use venue. You get exclusive access of the house and gardens. This is great because it gives you a closed off area to have your wedding in peace. There is enough space for about 160 guests, which makes it good for bigger weddings. There is a pretty experienced team working around the clock to help you as well, so you’re likely to have all the support you need.

You can have the actual ceremony inside or outside, depending on your preference. There’s plenty of gorgeous rooms inside the house, or you can have it underneath a stone archway which was built somewhere between 1928 and 1932.

One of the places I recommend you take a look at is the music room. It’s a big, bright space which is lined with large windows so it’s plenty good for shooting wedding photos. You can get 160 people in the room sitting down, with space for 200 people if it’s an evening reception. There’s also plenty of additional rooms that you can use for different parts of the ceremony, like, for example, having a playroom for the children, or somewhere where people can relax with a cup of tea.

There’s plenty of local suppliers who work with the venue to provide support for new wedding plans. For example, a lot of the food is prepared using local produce sourced in the area, but it’s all done in the house so there is a guarantee of quality. With that being said, if you speak to the staff, they’ll be able to put you in touch with some of their reputable suppliers for almost any part of your wedding, whether it’s decorations, transportation, or other amenities.
